Privacy policy
Last updated October 9, 2026
SnowDayDB has no accounts, no sign-up, and no forms. We don’t ask for your name, email or location, and we don’t sell or share anything about you.
What’s stored on your device
When you open a school’s page, your browser saves that day’s cancellation odds in its own local storage so the page can draw how the odds changed since you first checked. It stays in your browser, is never sent to us, and is cleared automatically the next day. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it too.
Weather data
Forecasts and alerts come straight from the National Weather Service (api.weather.gov). Your browser asks the NWS for the weather at the school you’re viewing, so the NWS sees an ordinary web request from your device, never your location. See the NWS privacy policy.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and block abuse. We don’t use that to identify anyone. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Sharing
The share buttons hand a link to your device’s share sheet or open the site you pick. Nothing passes through us. What happens next is up to that app or site.
Advertising
We don’t show ads yet. When we do, they will be non-personalized ads from Google AdSense: chosen by the page you’re reading, not your history. Even non-personalized ads use cookies or similar technology to limit how often you see an ad and to fight fraud. Google explains this in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We’ll update this page before any ads go live.
Children
SnowDayDB is for a general audience and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes and contact
If anything here changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Questions: hello@snowdaydb.com.
